Biography

For over 30 years, Rudy Bermudez has served the people of California by promoting public safety, improving education, and championing the rights of working men and women. A law enforcement officer by profession, Bermudez was first elected to represent the 56th district in the California State Assembly in November 2002.

Assemblymember Bermudez made an immediate impact on the legislature by tackling tough issues and standing up for not only our community, but all Californians. Bermudez has received many leadership and legislator of the year awards for his work on a whole range of issues affecting California.
